Journals to capture your adventures and root them more firmly into your life.

Placing meaningful moments onto maps.

Reflecting on inner and outer adventurous journeys.

Map journals help create something called narrative cartography: narrative (story), cartography (maps).

They embrace maps as not only a wayfinding device, but also as an expression of our adventures, and as a visual prompt to create narratives of time outdoors. They can take us back to the thoughts and feelings we had in those places, transporting us to the headspace discovered on the trail, as well as contemplating why these experiences were special.

By intertwining maps and our stories of adventure, we can enable a deeper understanding of not just what happened and what was there, but also what it all means to us and symbolises for us. Experiences become more meaningful and long lasting when we take time to reflect on them and consider what they provide both within the boundaries of paths and landscapes, and also beyond them.

Map journals aim to facilitate a deeper connection between the adventurer and nature, to reflect on our inner personal journey and outer physical journey through the landscape.

To capture trail thoughts and feelings and tread them more firmly into our lives.

Each map journal contains a mixture of hand drawn maps, blank pages, sketches, prompts, and words to inspire and guide you to reflect on your adventures.
